EFFECT:

Just when you thought the envelope could not be pushed any further, Danny Weiser takes it one more step with his brand new effect 'DECON'. Imagine having a spectator select a card from the deck... the card is then returned to the deck... with a bit of a shake, a card leaps to the top of the box!! Wait! THE BOX? Yes! In the motion of shaking the deck, the spectator's selection leaps to the top and the entire deck is wrapped in its natural habitat... THE BOX!! Super easy to do... Instant Reset... A true magician fooler. Supplied with custom gimmick.

REVIEW:

PROS:

- The visuals on this are very nice and it's a quick, snappy opener that you can easily get into. I personally do not think the trailer does it justice.

- The gimmick comes pre-made which is rare in these times of magic where products just come with instructions on how to make the gimmick and some supplies.

- The gimmick attaches to your regular card box and so it doesn't take up any additional pocket space which is a really good point.

- It also comes with an additional gimmick so you can perform a "pick a card" routine with the main gimmick.

CONS:

- At first I did not really see the point of all the cards going back into the box. It was really confusing when I was watching the trailer as to why all the cards went back in the box.

- The gimmick uses ET which is something I don't like because it breaks all the time for me. On the second day of practicing the ET in the gimmick broke. So instead of replacing it with more ET I replaced it with some m*****s and it works the exactly the same. So I didn't really see the point in using ET.

- the additional gimmick for the pick a card routine is unnecessary as again the pick a card routine can be performed without it.

- The gimmick is very expensive considering it is a small little cardboard gimmick and wouldn't cost much to make.

Overrall:

I think this is a good visual opener and I wouldn't really do the 'pick a card' routine/ trick that is shown. This really can only be used as an opener due to the nature of the gimmick.

RATING:

7/10
