REVIEW:

PROS:

- It's a very visual opener and a very clever method.

- The DVD is well produced and clearly and easily shows you how to construct the gimmick. Supplies to make the gimmick are included.

- The gimmick is only one card so it can be easily ditched when not needed. This is explained on the DVD.

- The effect is very practical for the everyday performer and the reset is quick and easy.

- No ET is used in the construction of the gimmick. I personal don't like ET being used in gimmicks as it breaks far too often and it's very fiddly to replace.

CONS:

- There are some angle considerations to be thought about before performing the effect. I have the deck in my right hand so I can't have anyone directly left of me.

- The trailer is a bit misleading as it shows the performer showing the sides of the box before waving his hand over and the box changing to the deck. You can not show the sides of the box.

- There is some pretty hefty DIY work to be done. It will take time and precision to make this gimmick properly.

- Some may say it's not worth carrying around anither gimmick just for a couple seconds of magic.

OVERRAL:

I think this is a good product but the hefty DIY and misleading trailer hit the rating of this pretty hard.

I'll trial this out before deciding if this will be a permanent part of my repertoire.

RATING:

6.5/10
